This is clearly political. The EU is den of corruption and fraud and nothing ever gets done about any of it. But all of a sudden, they’re concerned about some old claim about her office allegedly misusing less than a million Euros. This is a miniscule amount of money in the grand scheme of things.
This is the European equivalent of the October surprise in the United States. Remember when the Donald Trump “grab her by the pussy” tape dropped right before the 2016 election?
If they’re doing this, they’re probably concerned that she has a chance of winning. Obviously I hope she wins, but I’m not overly optimistic that this will happen considering how fraudulent and dishonest Western elections are. At least the French elections don’t appear to be anywhere near as corrupt as American elections are so she does have a chance.
Her winning the election would certainly throw a major wrench in all the anti-Russia hysteria that’s been going on.
