The Jewish paper of record is reporting that Israel had detailed intel on the plans for the October 7th Hamas attack back in 2022. The intel was dismissed as being aspirational in nature and not something that Hamas would be capable of pulling off.

There were also reports of Egypt warning Israel that something big was being planned a short time before the attacks happened. Those warnings were also dismissed by the Israelis.
Does this mean that Bibi and the other Jews at the top of Israel’s political system let this happen intentionally? Anything is possible I guess, but I find it strange that someone like Bibi whose entire political brand is centered around “security” would just let this happen to justify a genocide. I think it is more likely that red tape, complacency and incompetence was what caused them to ignore this. The security failure led to the Jews overreacting in an emotionally unhinged way to do this genocide and ethnic cleansing operation.
Just look at Israel’s current geopolitical strategy. It is totally ridiculous. It is not a strategy you would expect to see from competent actors. They think doing a genocide that’s being televised and broadcast all over the Internet is somehow smart geopolitics. On top of this, they are killing defenseless people while their ground forces are having all sorts of problems with Hamas fighters in Gaza City.
Everything they have done has imperiled the very existence of Israel. It may not survive this.
