There is talk about how the Canadian government might deploy the military to deal with the trucker convoy that has shut down the capital city of Ottawa.

Even if they did deploy the military, there is no guarantee that they’d be able to deal with this situation. There are many thousands of trucks and the Canadian army only has a little over 20,000 active duty personnel. They’d probably have to start shooting people which would further undermine the government’s legitimacy.

The government is already starting to cave on the virus restrictions.

The leader of the fake conservative party in Canada was removed for refusing to support the truck protest.

Momentum is on the side of the protesters and not the government.

It is also not a good look when you talk about deploying the military on peaceful protesters. After all, we’ve been told over and over again that only evil dictatorships use military force on their own people.

Of course, that’s basically what Canada has become under Justin Trudeau. Canada had mail-in voting during their last election so there is no reason to believe that he was legitimately re-elected. If he really had the people’s support, he never would have had to flee Ottawa in the first place.
