A Twitter user who goes by the handle @HazardHarringto and says he works in big tech for one of the large Silicon Valley giants, recently posted a thread describing how the company he works for is rotting away from the inside.
The thread is fully summarized here. I’ve also posted a few select tweets from the thread below.
I work in Big Tech. A name you would know and have probably used before.
Wanted to give a rundown of what it's like from the inside right now.

And so the entire company has devolved.
We're running on the code written in years past. No major new product initatives are being launched.
Workers complain that they're understaffed and demoralized.
People take constant sick days, or don't show up at all without record.

We had a woman who worked for us who was just awful at her job. Could not understand instructions at all. Could not do the job. Barely spoke English.
She wasn't just not productive, she actually dragged the team down.
I worked with my Director to finally get her fired after…

I believe this person is speaking the truth. It was only a matter of time before these organizations started to crumble. They went crazy with all the diversity bullshit by hiring people on the basis of their skin color and not on their actual ability to do the job. So now you have a situation where productive people are becoming demoralized and/or just quitting. This has left unqualified people within the ranks and the end result has been chaos and dysfunction.
As pointed out in the thread, the company he works for is running on fumes and is only existing off of the work that was done years before.
If you’ve wondered why there’s been little to no innovation coming from Silicon Valley companies in recent years it is because of this right here.
I personally hope all these large Silicon Valley companies collapse. We don’t need companies like Facebook, NetFlix etc.. especially considering all the evil they’ve been involved with.
