To make matters worse, a big deal was made out of one of the players catching the coronavirus and celebrating with his teammates following their victory.

The entire baseball season was extremely weird. They literally had cardboard cutouts of fans in the stadiums. They also played less than half the games you’d have in a normal season. Suffice to say, it made the product much less interesting to watch.
Combine all that with the fact that Major League Baseball promoted all the Marxist BLM bullshit and it is easy to see why ratings were down.
Pro sports might become a thing of the past. They may continue to exist in some form, but they will not have anywhere near the cultural relevancy that they once had.
