The United States is continuing their agitations against China by opening up bilateral trade negotiations with Taiwan.

This is basically the United States trying to interfere in the ability of China to maintain their business dealings on the island. There are lots of Chinese companies that have business interests on Taiwan.
I honestly don’t know why any business person doing business in Taiwan would want to sacrifice trade with China to trade with the US. It makes zero sense. If you had to pick one, you’d trade with China because it is closer, has more people and is already surpassing the US economy in many areas.
The US is playing a game that they can’t possibly win. If they had any sense they would be negotiating with China over the Taiwan issue instead of agitating like this. They’re going to be left with nothing because of their stubborn and stupid policy decisions.
