Is anybody shocked by this story? You shouldn’t be. The Ukraine has been a very corrupt place for a long time and this corruption has only gotten worse since this war kicked off.
I’m not sure why this guy was singled out for arrest, but there’s probably a back story to that. Maybe he’s being made an example out of? I really don’t know, but I’m sure there’s far more significant corruption than this going on in what’s left of the Ukraine.
