This is somewhat significant because most Western leaders have refused to engage with Putin and have tried to treat him as some type of pariah for the past two years. This whole strategy failed and now that failure is becoming increasingly evident.
Unless some type of last minute spending bill gets approved by the United States Congress to fund the Ukraine, the country is likely to quickly implode in on itself. We are already seeing signs of this like that guy who blew himself up and other local lawmakers in that grenade incident the other day.
The West is going to have to engage with Putin on this. They really don’t have any other choice unless they want to do nuclear war or some other craziness.
