A fairly major hurricane dubbed “Hurricane Ian” hit Florida the other day. Hundreds have reportedly died.

It is being reported that this is “confirmed” but we don’t really know that for sure yet. It’s too early to know specific numbers. They’re already trying to score political points against Ron DeSantis for all this, as if he has any control over the weather.
Take this blue check dick as an example.
It's really weird how nobody is talking about the fact that Ron DeSantis voted AGAINST financial relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy as one of his first official acts.
He has, of course, not hesitated to ask for a ton of money for Florida.

There probably were some people who did die. My assumption is that most of the dead are probably blacks that refused to evacuate the area. So I really could not give a shit that these people are dead.
I mean, Florida is an area where hurricanes are known to happen on occasion. If you don’t want to potentially die from a hurricane, the easy solution to not dying from a hurricane is to not live in Florida. Or at the very least, leave the area when a hurricane is about to come in.
At least this cat got rescued.

I have more sympathy for that cat than any person who died because of this hurricane.
Whatever the case, hurricanes have happened throughout history, so a hurricane striking Florida while news is not particularly interesting news. It’s just when they happen now they become a big media event that’s used for a variety of political purposes. Either to attack political enemies or to claim that it is proof of the unproven climate change hoax.
