It’s too bad the late comedian George Carlin wasn’t around to see the mass hysteria surrounding the coronavirus. I’m sure he’d have an interesting perspective. His brand of comedy was interesting because he critiqued the insanity of modern society which has become many more times insane since his passing.

A few decades ago, Carlin offered an interesting perspective on Americans fear of germs and how Americans were increasingly willing to trade their freedoms for the false perception of security.

The American people have been so consumed with fear over the coronavirus that they are demanding the government do all sorts of crazy things to limit their freedom.

It’s one thing to be concerned and to exercise caution to avoid getting sick, but what we have happening today is a collective mass hysteria.

I doubt even Carlin would be able to comprehend the insanity of what is happening today.
