Elon Musk is being threatened by the European Union for not censoring posts on Twitter that the EU perceives to be “disinformation.”

The fact that they’re specifically referencing the Israel-Palestine war is basically an admission that this move is to censor unfavorable content pertaining to that conflict. More specifically, it is designed to censor content that is pro-Palestine and anti-Israel.
The EU’s Digital Services Act isn’t something that can realistically be complied with. The DSA gives EU bureaucrats the authority to levy fines and/or ban a social media site if they do not censor whatever content they want censored. It’s no different than 1984’s Ministry of Truth.
Musk should not comply with their demands. If he’s forced to because of financial reasons, he should ban Israeli propaganda and say that it is disinformation. That would at least be funny.
