Jeff Bezos has just given the green light to have Parler banned off of Amazon Web Services because of the Capitol incident.

The Washington Post which Bezos also owns reported on the suspension and are gloating about how wonderful it all is.

A blind man could have seen this move coming.

That’s why it is difficult to understand why the people at Parler thought it’d be a good idea to host their server infrastructure with Amazon Web Services. Did they honestly think Bezos is some great champion of free speech or something?

Parler’s management is claiming that they have a backup plan but that it might take awhile to get the site back up on physical servers after the AWS ban takes place.

The whole thing is crazy and it just illustrates how naïve and stupid much of the “conservative” establishment is. We already went through this after Charlottesville and these people didn’t even bother to learn basic lessons from the historical precedent that was set. In fact, many of the pro-Trump people who are now being banned everywhere had nothing to say about all the censorship and blacklisting that people like myself endured. They talked about how we have to put up with the bans because we can’t tell private companies what to do while spewing retard-tier talking points about the “free market.”

Essentially what we have is a situation where the government is claiming that they aren’t violating the First Amendment by allowing private companies to control the digital public square and ban/censor whoever they want. And even if someone tries to setup an alternative system to the digital public square, the companies that control the digital public square are constantly conspiring to take them offline

The whole system is cartoonishly corrupt. Myself and others wrote countless articles about this over the past few years. We tried to warn the MAGA crowd about what was going to happen and unfortunately nobody took our warnings seriously enough.
