The sexist co-founders of Vice Media Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi need to resign for allowing sexual harassment to fester in their workplace. Apologies are not enough. Such things simply cannot happen in the #MeToo era.
The entire establishment is getting #MeTooed. One of the more recent incidents involves Vice Media. Their management team has apologized for the company being too much of a “boy’s club” admitting that they failed to protect women from sexual harassment.
The founders of Vice Media, the news company famed for its hipster style and digital savvy, have apologised for the organisation’s “boy’s club” culture that failed to protect women staff from sexual harassment and misconduct.
In a letter to staff, Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi, said the company had not done enough by its employees and were setting in place a series of management and human resources processes to help tackle the problem.
“From the top down, we have failed as a company to create a safe and inclusive workplace where everyone, especially women, can feel respected and thrive,” they wrote.
The only solution to this problem is mass firings. They need to fire as many men as possible and replace them with strong and empowered females.
Promoting Elle Reeve would be a good first step. In fact, based on her epic work covering the Unite the Right rally, I would let her run the entire company. Don’t let that fish face fool you. She’s a serious journalist!
Only by promoting strong and empowered females like Elle Reeve can Vice Media hope to survive into the future!
I mean let’s face facts. If you have men sexually harassing women in the office, it makes it difficult for women to do substantive work. We all know that the only people who do any real substantive work are women. They never gossip and cause drama. That literally never happens. They only do serious work but they can’t do serious work if they are being constantly propositioned by men.
So yes, Vice Media in order to make up for all this sexual harassment stuff must start hiring and promoting women to replace men. It is the only solution.
