After learning that France decided to extend their lockdown for another month, I came across this story describing how the UK is also extending their lockdown.
British foreign minister Dominic Raab is set to announce on Thursday (April 16) that the lockdown in the country will stay in place until at least May 7, the Times reported.
Raab, deputising for Prime Minister Boris Johnson who is recovering from Covid-19, earlier on Monday said he did not expect the government to make any changes to the lockdown measures currently in place until it was confident they could be made safely.
The death toll from Covid-19 in British hospitals rose to 11,329 on Monday (April 13), the fifth highest globally and a senior scientific adviser to the government has said the country risks becoming the worst-hit in Europe.
As is the case with France, they’ll probably extend this come May 7th claiming that lives will be lost if they let people out of their house.
The insanity of all this is difficult to comprehend. Anybody who looks at the data can see that the number of deaths allegedly caused by the coronavirus is nowhere near doomsday-tier levels and did not require this level of response.
It’s now a guarantee that more lives will be lost from the chaos caused by the lockdown than from the virus. The fools in charge won’t admit this, but that’s the reality of the situation.
