Donald Trump said today that he is going to order the military to the Southern border until the border wall is built. He also threatened to terminate the ongoing NAFTA negotiations unless Mexico helped stop the flow of endless brown sludge into our country.

This is certainly encouraging news but we shouldn’t declare total victory yet. George W. Bush and Barack Obama both deployed the military to the southern border but they were basically publicity stunts. The rules of engagement imposed on the soldiers were a joke.

So long as these soldiers are allowed to shoot and kill invaders, this will be a very good move by Trump. There’s really no alternative until the border wall is constructed and we have proper security in place.

We’ll just have to keep watching the situation. Supposedly the Mexican government is going to do something about this “caravan” of invaders but I’m highly skeptical. There’s still the possibility that there’ll be some type of confrontation at the border.
