So the Republicans finally passed their tax reform bill. The Senate passed the bill 51-48 across party lines. There were even some foolish protesters whining about how the bill would kill them.

It previously passed the House but due to some procedural issues the House has to do a re-vote today. It looks like the President will sign it into law over the next few days.

The best part about this bill seems to be the removal of the Obamacare mandate which taxed people who didn’t want to buy health insurance. Other than that, it’s hard to get overly excited about it. I’m all for lower taxes, but this appears to be a fairly moderate reform of the tax code.

Quite frankly, I believe the personal income tax should be abolished entirely. The country could run fine if we scaled back the ZOG empire and relied on tariffs and excise taxes.

The good news is that it is a political win for the President which gives him momentum going into 2018. That’s probably the most important aspect to this.

Trump will be holding a press conference today at 1 PM EDT to discuss further.
