The nonsense going on in Venezuela is an absolute joke. The Trump administration has declared some guy nobody has ever heard of named Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s leader. They are conspiring with him to remove Venezuela’s real President Nicolas Maduro. Vice President Mike Pence met with Guaido in Colombia today. Presumably this was to discuss next steps in their coup plot.
Vice President Pence traveled to Bogotá, Colombia, on Monday and urged regional leaders to support Juan Guaidó, the self-proclaimed interim president of Venezuela, vowing that the U.S. will stand with the opposition leader “until your libertad is restored.”
Pence also announced U.S. sanctions against several border-state governors aligned with embattled Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro who are said to be involved in blocking shipments of humanitarian aid from reaching Venezuelans.
Military forces have prevented most of the food and medicine from crossing the country’s borders with Brazil and Colombia. Clashes with protesters and volunteers trying to unload truckloads of aid resulted in the deaths of least four people this weekend. Hundreds more were wounded.
Trucks carrying items were torched, amid tear gas fired by the military and attacks waged by paramilitary groups, as NPR has reported.
As we discussed over the weekend, they tried to force “humanitarian aid” into Venezuela without permission. This was a blatant violation of Venezuela’s sovereignty and an obvious attempt to stir up chaos in order to justify more intervention inside the country. But all sorts of bad shit happened as a result of this which did nothing for “human rights.”
The entire situation is insane but there’s almost nobody in the mainstream political sphere questioning it. Even the Communist Jew Bernie Sanders seems to be on board for some bizarre reason.
The people of Venezuela are enduring a serious humanitarian crisis. The Maduro government must put the needs of its people first, allow humanitarian aid into the country, and refrain from violence against protesters.

I’m not even sure whose against it to be honest. Tulsi Gabbard is one of the few that I know of.
The US must stay out of Venezuela & let the people determine their own future. US meddling in Latin America has been disastrous for the people of the countries where we intervene. Pence's "demand" is inappropriate & dangerous. https://t.co/GUsEdeVr9b

Gabbard is right though. Let the Venezuelan people figure out their own issues. There has been nothing positive that has come out of the CIA meddling in the internal affairs of other countries. This is just a cynical plot to install a ZOG puppet regime in Venezuela so ZOG can access the nation’s oil resources.
