FBI Director Christopher Wray should be supporting the memo’s release. He’s in charge of an obviously corrupt organization and now it appears as if he’s trying to support and conceal its corrupt nature.

The drama surrounding the House Intelligence Committee’s memo detailing FISA abuses has now received public comment by the FBI. The FBI is claiming that the memo leaves out information that makes it factually inaccurate.

FBI:

The FBI takes seriously its obligations to the FISA Court and its compliance with procedures overseen by career professionals in the Department of Justice and the FBI. We are committed to working with the appropriate oversight entities to ensure the continuing integrity of the FISA process.

With regard to the House Intelligence Committee’s memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it. As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.

There are reports that FBI Director Christopher Wray has privately lobbied the White House to block the release of the memo. Of course, this is based off of a leak from an anonymous source and could just be more fake news.

The FBI’s statement on the memo is not fake news though. It is on their website.

So just what are they afraid of? If there are inaccuracies by omission in the memo, they can explain the inaccuracies after the memo’s release. It’d be easy to fill in the gaps. Most likely they’re against releasing the memo because it is embarrassing to the top level management of the bureau itself.

Even stranger is how Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was forced out of the bureau after Wray was said to have read the memo. It seemed as if these two things were linked, but now it is possible that they weren’t connected.

Whatever the case, I’m sick of these stupid games. The memo should be released and if Wray is really of the opinion that it shouldn’t be released than he should be fired from his job. There’s obvious corruption at the highest levels of the FBI and there are people scared that this will expose that.
