Seems like some cops down in Miami thought they were part of a Grand Theft Auto video game.

CBS:

Police said two suspects who carjacked a UPS truck on Thursday afternoon and led several police agencies through the streets of South Florida are dead.

The suspects who reportedly shot at police from the truck engaged police in a shootout resulting in their deaths on Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road.

Images from Chopper 4 showed at least 20 police officers, some with long guns and a stopped UPS truck.

The exchange of gunfire with police ended as quickly as it began.

“The armed suspects engaged law enforcement, opened fire, exchanged fire between law enforcement and the suspects,” explained George Piro, Special Agent in Charge of the Miami Field Office. “Unfortunately, the suspects are now deceased, but also two additional innocent civilians deceased.”

The dead include the kidnapped UPS driver, who has been identified by friends as Frank Ordonez, and a innocent bystander killed in their car.

No word from law enforcement whether shots fired from the kidnappers’ weapons killed the UPS driver and the bystander.

The UPS driver was actually being held hostage by the robbers and the cops didn’t give a shit. They just opened fire and killed the robbers along with the UPS driver. An other innocent bystander was killed in all the chaos.

There’s all sorts of clips being shared on social media showing the cops just going nuts and firing indiscriminately at the UPS truck. There were literally hundreds of rounds fired on a crowded highway and it was all captured on live television.

And for what? Because these guys stole some jewelry?

These cops clearly went insane. None of this was necessary. This seems to just be another symptom of how police forces around the country have become increasingly militarized and are filled with all sorts of low IQ colored individuals.

And even worse is how it is extremely doubtful that any cop will get fired over this. Of course, if they said a racist word or were shown in a picture giving a roman salute, they’d be fired immediately I’m sure.
