China announced some of the poorest economic numbers in almost 30 years. Their economy is definitely starting to have some problems.
This is absolutely due to President Trump’s tariffs and protectionist policies. Even though his policies have been relatively moderate so far, it is having a bit of an impact on China’s productivity. The trade deficit is still a big problem though.

Trump should hopefully be able to force them into a deal that is more beneficial to the United States. If not, he should keep the tariffs in place and add more tariffs if they don’t negotiate in good faith. But honestly, he’ll probably have an easier time striking a trade deal with China than a deal with Chuck and Nancy for border wall funding. That’s not hyperbole either.
