Unscheduled repairs on part of the pipeline carrying oil from Russia to Europe inside of Belarus is happening after Belarus threatened to cut off energy supplies to EU countries.

RT:

Belarus has announced “unscheduled repairs” are needed on a branch of the ‘Friendship’ pipeline carrying oil supplies from Russia through the country to a number of EU states, insisting that maintenance work will take three days.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Russian energy export giant Transneft said supplies could face short-term disruption. Spokesman Igor Demin told journalists he had been informed the impromptu repair work should be finished by the weekend. The pipeline connects oil fields in Central Russia to consumers in Poland, Hungary, Czechia and Germany.

The Belarusian operator, Gomeltransneft Druzhba, reportedly began work on Tuesday evening, with supplies set to decrease. However, officials say, monthly export volumes shouldn’t be affected, and Demin insisted Transneft hopes to ensure its delivery quotas are met.

The news comes just days after Belarus’ embattled leader, Alexander Lukashenko, warned that his country could cut off gas flowing to Central and Western Europe in response to a worsening row over illegal migration on the border with Poland.

It is good to see that Belarus is standing up against the EU after all of their unnecessary sanctions and threats.

It doesn’t look as if this is any sort of permanent thing, they are just doing this to get the EU’s attention.

Vladimir Putin has said that he is against shutting off energy supplies to Europe, but this appears to be part of a good cop, bad cop strategy against the EU.

The EU is filled with crazy people pushing lunatic agendas against their own people via the virus hoax. Yet at the same time, they continue escalating their rhetoric against Belarus and Russia. They stupidly like their American counterparts, think they can destroy their own people with the virus bullshit and wage a war against a major military power like Russia

Even if Belarus and Russia do permanently shut off energy to Europe, they should thank them, because they would be helping them reduce their carbon footprint. Guess they haven’t thought about that angle have they?
