After storming the social media hearings on Capitol Hill yesterday, Twitter officially dropped the ban hammer on Alex Jones. This means he’s gone from both Twitter and the live streaming service Periscope. Twitter was the final major social media platform that Jones had not yet been banned from.

Twitter permanently banned right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his Infowars show for abusive behavior, a day after CEO Jack Dorsey testified before Congress about alleged bias against conservatives on the platform.

The company said Jones won’t be able to create new accounts on Twitter or take over any existing ones. In a tweet, it said it would continue to monitor reports about other accounts potentially associated with Jones or Infowars, and will “take action” if it finds any attempts to circumvent the ban.

Twitter said Jones posted a video on Wednesday that violates the company’s policy against “abusive behavior.” That video showed Jones berating CNN journalist Oliver Darcy for some 10 minutes in between two congressional hearings on social media. Dorsey testified at both hearings, but did not appear to witness the confrontation.

Jones had about 900,000 followers on Twitter. Infowars had about 430,000. Jones did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

And Twitter’s excuse for banning Jones was weak. They cited Jones confronting the highly dishonest CNN reporter Oliver Darcy as the reason for his ban. Darcy had been advocating for Jones to be banned from the Internet.

Just watch the video and ask yourself if this is proper justification to render someone a digital non-person. Jones confrontation of Darcy while tough was perfectly justified.

Clearly, this ban was retaliation against Jones for making Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey look foolish the other day. Ironically, he was essentially banned for appearing in a video complaining about how he was being censored on social media.

Here are the official statements from the Twitter thought police.

Yeah, so they’re basically going to ensure that he is banned from their platform for the rest of his life. So much for tolerance and free expression. These Communist faggots don’t give a shit about any of that. They only push for free political speech as a trick when they don’t have power. When they have power, they do everything they can to shut down the political speech of their enemies.

None of this is a surprise though, we all knew that Jones was going to get banned eventually. The only question is if Jones is finally going to expose the Jews who are the true culprits behind this censorship agenda or if he’s going to continue rambling on about the Chinese Communists. I’m not optimistic that he will make the right choice.
